Lok Sabha passes amended Lokpal Bill

The Lok Sabha today passed the amended Lokpal and Lokayukta Bill, 2011, which provides for formation of an anti-graft ombudsman. The historic Lokpal Bill earlier sailed through the Rajya Sabha with the support of opposition parties.
