Jain Irrigation Systems advances 5.09% after securing Rs 117.96 crore contract from MSEDCL for solar water pumping systems

Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd. is up 5.09% to Rs 30.55, building on recent momentum and gaining 1.77% over the last one week.

Jain Irrigation Systems Limited has received a Letter of Empanelment from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) to supply and install 5,000 Off-Grid DC Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS) across Maharashtra under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana, valued at Rs 117.96 crore inclusive of GST. The project, which includes design, manufacture, supply, transportation, installation, testing, and commissioning of 3 HP, 5 HP, and 7.5 HP solar pumping systems, is slated for completion within 60 days, and does not involve any related party transactions.

Trading volume reached 59.57 lakh shares today, a surge of 315.55% compared to the average volume of the last one week. Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd tumbled by 46.49% year-over-year, underperforming the 8.01% loss recorded by the NIFTY50 index.
