Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd share price gained 0.53% to Rs 1439.3 after the company's net profit saw a strong growth of 117.87% to Rs 2247.03 crore, while revenue from operations nosedived 24.89% to Rs 20557.5 crore in Q3FY26 over Q2FY26.

Profit before tax (PBT) of Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd stood at Rs 3007.31 crore in Q3 FY26, surging by 206.27% year-on-year, and rallying 117.88% quarter-on-quarter. EBITDA came in at Rs 3182 crore, expanding by 179.57% YoY and jumping 107.01% sequentially.
Total expenses plunged by 32.55% to Rs 17517.39 crore in Q3FY26 over Q3FY25. During the quarter, cost of materials consumed stood at Rs 16137.92 crore, plunging by 37.23% YoY, while employee benefits expense was at Rs 173.09 crore, soaring 23.11% YoY.
For the TTM ended FY26, revenue from operations inched higher 7.22% to Rs 63640.06 crore, while net profit jumped 1349.25% to Rs 3102.7 crore, compared to previous TTM. EBITDA witnessed a strong improvement of 99284% to Rs 4691.79 crore, and PBT witnessed a strong rise of 1573.96% to Rs 4162.47 crore compared to previous TTM.
The company's consolidated net cash flow from operating activities stood at Rs 2944.96 crore in FY26, as against Rs 1352.37 crore in FY25.
Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd rallied 84.72% in last one year, significantly outperforming the benchmark BSE Sensex which has declined by 12.69% during the same period.
