Cochin Shipyard and Drydocks World Dubai form joint venture for ship repair facility

Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) announced that its board of directors has approved a joint venture with Drydocks World Dubai – FZCO (DDW) to form a private limited company, JVCo., incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013, with its registered office in Kochi, Kerala. The joint venture will operate and manage CSL’s International Ship Repair Facility (ISRF) at Willingdon Island, Kochi, with a consideration of not less than Rs 1,800 Crores, 50% of which will be paid to CSL in cash and the remainder in shares of the JVCo.
