GE Vernova secures contract from Power Grid Corporation for a Rs 6000 MW HVDC terminal station project

GE Vernova T&D India Limited, formerly known as GE T&D India Limited, announced it has been awarded a contract by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited to design and establish a 6000 MW, ± 800 kV High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) LCC Terminal Station (2x 3000 MW) for renewable power evacuation from Barmer II to South Kalamb. The order, received on September 7, 2026, encompasses design, supply, and execution over multiple years, with a broad consideration for the project. The company confirmed that neither the promoter group nor any group companies have any interest in Power Grid, and the transaction does not constitute a related party transaction.
