The report, which details the company’s social and environmental responsibility practices, notably lacked information regarding ethical conduct, stakeholder engagement, human rights, and worker safety. While the report highlighted efforts such as sourcing 55% of input materials from micro, small, and medium enterprises and 34% from within the local district, as well as utilizing fly ash waste as a raw material, the absence of detailed policies and quantifiable data raises concerns. The company has a mechanism for community grievance redressal via email and website, and 48.73% of wages are paid to rural employees, but the report’s overall transparency could be improved by publicly sharing key policies and establishing measurable sustainability targets.
