Jindal Stainless’ Hisar unit wins sustainability award for decarbonization efforts and responsible manufacturing

Jindal Stainless’ Hisar unit has received the Times Internet Ecopreneur Award 2026 for Lifetime Achievement in Sustainability, recognizing the company's commitment to decarbonization, resource efficiency, and responsible manufacturing. The award acknowledges the facility’s efforts to build a low-carbon stainless steel manufacturing ecosystem, including increasing the share of renewable electricity in its power mix to 67% in the first quarter of fiscal year 2027, a reduction of 12% in greenhouse gas emission intensity, and achieving a 'Zero Waste to Landfill' Platinum+ rating for fiscal year 2024–25. Jindal Stainless reported an annual turnover of INR 42,955 crore (USD 4.86 billion) in fiscal year 2026 and an annual melt capacity of 4.2 million tonnes.
