Indian financial institution’s sustainability report received assurance from Bureau Veritas

An Indian financial institution reported significant environmental and social metrics in its recently released Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report, which received assurance from Bureau Veritas. The report detailed total Scope 1 emissions of 1903.84 M tCO2e and Scope 2 emissions of 29904.02 M tCO2e, alongside a total water consumption of 31,740.93 kL and 434.46 MT of total waste generated. The institution allocated 0.43% of total revenue to employee welfare, with 37.44% of total wages paid to female employees. Approximately 18.08% of materials were sourced from micro, small, and medium enterprises, and related-party transactions accounted for 1.02% of total purchases. The report, dated July 28, 2026, highlights areas for potential improvement in emissions reduction and waste management.
