HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and Reliance Industries were the top traded contracts

Nifty January futures trade at premium

The Nifty January 2024 futures closed at 21,675, a premium of 52.6 points compared with the Nifty's closing 21,622.40 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 added 160.15 points or 0.75% to 21,622.40.

The NSE's India VIX, a gauge of market's expectation of volatility over the near term, declined 1.36% to 13.88.

HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and Reliance Industries were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The January 2024 F&O contracts will expire on 25 January 2024.
